The guilt is eating me alivee.. :( ? help?

why do people think dieing is a way out. dieing is not final. Ask the Lord for forgiveness and let your conscious be your guide. I would call the store manager and explain that you left the store without paying and would like to make reconciliation by Paying for the item. I would not bring up your friend as that is her responsibility and she needs the chance to do the same. Often friends lacking in morals will involve us in their activities. They even do this without our knowledge by dropping an item in a pocket or purse. And later will inform you to retrieve the item. If this is your friends regular habit or she decides that she likes to continue this behavior it would be best not to see them. Once security feels that someone has or will shoplift they will keep a close eye on them til they catch them. When we do acts that are not right we should accept responsibility for them. It is good that you feel guilty about your act and honorable if you take responsibility. If I were the store owner I would be happy that you came forward and would not take any further action. Sin is far reaching and affects all of us. That item causes the cost of other items to go up or is covered by taxes which also raises our taxes. So many justify what they do by thinking it is a corporation and no humans are involved. What they fail to realize is that there are many involved. These things affect salaries and stock holders as well or cost may get ped down to the customer. Many stock holders are retired and depend on a stores success for their retirement. Many stores have closed down recently here due to a bad economy. Had their income been up they may have survived the down swing. Stealing is just plain wrong.
