What is the main cause for the formation of Pakistan? I believe the Muslims wanted a state of their own.?

Muslims came to India at early 15s and living here till now. They were in power and suppressed Hindus in all possible ways. And whe n the British came to power the Hindus got educated and became powerful and Muslims now have to work under Hindus for survival. So seeing that they were not treated well byt the Hindus the Muslim leaders wanted a separate state which is normal so they have give what they asked for. Most of the Hindus from Pakistan and Muslims from India migrated to the newly formed countries and blood- shed was seen. The people who can't migrate from far places stayed there. Muslims who live in India eventhough large in numbers feels that they are being separated by the Hindus in all possible ways even now. I don't know abt pak but if some one lighten me I wil be eager to listen .
