How do i fix router speed consistency?

First thing I see is your cable connection. Essentially everone within a small distance of you "shares" an alotted amount of bandwidth. If you are in a high traffic area you could be getting a crappy connection. Switch to DSL :0) Also a non-secured conenction is baaaaaad, because like I said it is like everyone is on the same network, so someone could really walk right into your host machine!
