Why is carmelo not a allstar?

because he missed a long series of time with an injury when he has been on the court he has been an all star but there are so many deserving players that missing that amount of time really hurt him in the voting...well the NBA all star games is a popularity contest anyway.... the better question is why is Allen Iverson a starter for the East???
