Why Do Most Teen Shows Have Adult Situations In It?

That's what we experience every day in school. They try to bring to televison something that we can relate with. Honestly, if you don't let your kids watch them they may just end up worse in the long run. Have faith in your children to do the right things. If you raise them right (and I'm trusting you will/do) they should make the right choices regardless of what they see on television. The more you suppress them, the more they'll want to do later in life...
